Terms of Service

Terms of Service

These Terms govern the rights, obligations, and responsibilities between Ongil ("we", "us") and users of the mobile game Refugee Outpost (the "Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. The Service

  • The Service is free and supported by rewarded ads and optional paid items (in-app purchases).
  • We may improve or change the Service's content, balance, and features.
  • We strive to provide a stable Service, but it may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, outages, or force majeure.

2. License

We grant you a limited, non-transferable license to use the Service for personal, non-commercial purposes. You must use the Service in compliance with applicable laws and these Terms.

3. Ads and In-Game Rewards

  • The only ads in the Service are rewarded ads that you choose to watch.
  • Watching a rewarded ad to completion may grant in-game rewards such as double mining, double offline earnings, or bigger quest and surprise-visitor rewards.
  • In-game currencies such as ore and spore crystals, and your game progress, have no real-world monetary value and cannot be exchanged or transferred.

4. Paid Items (In-App Purchases)

  • We sell the following paid items: Lantern Stone (in-game currency) packs, the First Day Bundle (once per account), the No-Ads Pass and Golden Pickaxe (permanent), and the 30-Day Supply Contract (time-limited, does not auto-renew).
  • Payments are processed by the Apple App Store (or Google Play), and payments and refunds follow each store's policies. We do not receive your payment method information.
  • Lantern Stones can only be used in the game and cannot be exchanged for cash, refunded as cash, or transferred. Free and purchased Lantern Stones are used interchangeably.
  • Withdrawal (Korea): Under the Korean Act on Consumer Protection in Electronic Commerce, you may withdraw from a purchase of an unused paid item within 7 days. Withdrawal is limited for items that have been used (e.g., spent Lantern Stones) or whose effect applies immediately upon purchase (No-Ads Pass, Golden Pickaxe, Supply Contract), as disclosed on the purchase screen. Refund requests are handled through each store's refund process.
  • The Supply Contract lets you collect Lantern Stones once a day for 30 days from purchase and does not renew automatically. Days you do not collect do not accumulate.
  • Permanent items (No-Ads Pass, Golden Pickaxe, and the permanent part of the First Day Bundle) can be recovered with "Restore Purchases" using the same store account. Lantern Stones, time-limited items, and game progress are stored only on your device and cannot be restored.
  • If a minor makes a purchase without a legal guardian's consent, the minor or guardian may cancel it as provided by applicable law.

5. Game Center Leaderboards

  • On iOS, if you are signed in to Game Center, your deepest floor reached and lifetime ore are submitted to leaderboards.
  • We may remove records we believe were obtained by abnormal means from the leaderboards.

6. Prohibited Conduct

You must not:

  • Reverse engineer, decompile, modify, or otherwise use the Service by abnormal means
  • Use bots, hacks, cheats, or device clock manipulation to disrupt the Service or falsify records
  • Manipulate the ad system or generate invalid traffic
  • Violate applicable laws or these Terms

7. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Service, including graphics, design, sound, code, and trademarks, belong to us or their rightful owners. You may not copy, distribute, or create derivative works from them without our prior written consent.

8. Game Progress Data

Game progress is stored only on your device. It may be lost if you delete the app or change or reset your device; we cannot restore it and are not responsible for such loss.

9. Disclaimer and Limitation of Liability

  • The Service is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, including fitness for a particular purpose.
  • To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable in connection with this free Service.
  • Your use of third-party services (ads, Game Center, app store payments) is governed by each provider's terms and policies.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may change these Terms when necessary and will announce changes on this page. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

11. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Korea. Disputes arising from use of the Service will be handled by the competent court under applicable law.
